And I heartily agree with her. He's really a great dad. The best.
One of the scariest things about becoming a parent is that you really have no freaking idea just what kind of parent you are going to be. The possibilities are completely and totally endless. And so you lay awake at night and hope against hope that you'll be okay. That your kid won't experience a complete, total, and permanent freak out if you sign up to go on the field trip.
Well here we are a little over a year later, and I'm happy to report that so far she seems to think we're pretty excellent. So far.
But back to B and her best dad in the whole entire world. And my hearty agreement. Want proof?
The proof, as they say, is in the pudding. The pudding? How about how the first thing he does when he gets home is pick her up and ask all about her day. Or what about how he takes her outside every night so they can water the flowers. Have you ever tried to water flowers with a one year old?
Maybe it's all those oatmeal cookies he gives her. Perhaps it's the million games of peek-a-boo they play.
It could very well be all the swinging and swimming the two of them do.
Or it could be that he does all of these things no matter what kind of day it's been. Good. Bad. Long. Frustrating. It doesn't matter one bit. There's still going to be peek-a-boo and watering. Swinging or swimming if the weather is nice. No matter what.
She is one lucky little girl. He is one lucky dad. And they are quite a team.
So Happy Father's Day to you, Griff. Better known as "Da-Da" these days. We love you.

i love this post. and i love these pictures--particularly the swing and the booty crack. love y'all.
